Overview

For this class, you will choose a principal instrument, which could be voice, guitar (electric or acoustic), bass, or piano. It doesn’t matter your level of proficiency in the instrument, beginner, intermediate, or advanced; the class will adjust to your needs and abilities. The class will focus on playing, and things like technique and music theory will derive from it. We will work on your favorite songs, but also, we will create a journey of music genres for your complete understanding of music. The starting point is Blues; we will learn the foundations of modern music and improvisation. Then Rock for power chords and performance. The third one will be Funk, where we’re gonna learn about time feeling, and rhythm. After that, we will step up the difficulty and learn the basics of Jazz for advanced techniques and music theory. Finally, we will finish with world music, it could be Bossa Nova, Mediterranean music, or Asian, anything that inspires you and challenges you.
